We will be traveling to Frankfurt on 3/19 from the U.S., then flying out of Frankfurt (after visiting Essen) for Barcelona on 3/26. What testing/time frame will we need to transfer between Germany and Spain? Sticking to a single country won’t work for this trip, since my husband has business commitments in both Germany and Spain. Having a starting point will be enormously helpful. Many thanks, with the understanding that all Covid rules are subject to change!

it seems the airlines have been charged with enforcing the rules these days, so perhaps start with the carrier. Or checking out other carriers for their take on it.

True, thanks. It couldn't hurt to check Lufthansa's understanding of Spanish requirements. I was just hoping there might be some agreement between European countries, but likely we will have to re-test before we leave Germany. Darn.
