You have tested positive. What should you do?

Inform others about your test result: If you have contact with people
at especially high risk, it is wise to let them know about your
positive test result as soon as possible.

If you are sick: If you feel unwell, you should stay at home and avoid
or reduce contact, especially with people at especially high risk.

High-risk group: If you belong to the especially high-risk group,
consider contacting your medical specialist so that they can evaluate
early COVID-19 treatment.

Mask: Wearing a mask when out and about is a good idea.

Searching for info specific to Swtizerland.
Ex: Are you required to move to a quarantine hotel?

Those are the specific requirements for Switzerland. That’s why I included the link to the Swiss Gov. website where you can find the info.

You do not have to quarantine in Switzerland. All that is expected is what I have posted above.

You should have some sort of Medevac Travel Insurance (at a minimum) which specifically covers at least a certain amount for lodging and meals plus airline rebooking fees in the case of being unable to fly home due to positive Covid test.

I posed this same question to Rick Steves’ Europe since we start the RS Switzerland tour on June 26. This is their emailed response:
“Switzerland has eliminated all of its Covid testing and quarantine rules. The rule that will apply for your return to the USA will be that set by the CDC and enforced by the airlines, which currently is 10 days, per Travel/CDC on www.cdc.gov.
Travel/CDC states: Do NOT travel if….
You tested positive for Covid-19. Do not travel until a full 10 days after your symptoms started or the date your positive test was taken if you had no symptoms.”
