Sarah Murdoch livestreamed from AMS

Anyone watch the Adventures with Sarah livestream from Schiphol this AM?

She left Seattle Thursday May27/arrived AMS Friday May 28. She was livestreaming on her layover and said there was not a single request for documents of any kind, although the Delta folks checked her PCR test NO ONE at Schiphol did. She was slightly flabbergasted as she also did not pass thru Passport control on her way to her next flight. She's been thru that airport many times and was slightly unnerved by it. She's being coy about her destination but I assume it is another EU country which is why she was surprised.

Also indicated there were passengers who arrived from China wearing hazmat suits...

Hi Pam! Yes, I saw her livestream last night and was also interested to hear that her flight - the popular non-stop from Seattle to Amsterdam, was so empty. I can’t imagine not having to show my passport in Schiphol; I liked her comment that she wasn’t going to take her chances of going up to the Delta lounge and possibly ending up with some other checks because of that choice. It will be interesting to hear from her if her final destination is more stringent in their passport, Covid checks, etc. before exiting the airport.

Hi Pam, so is there a way for me to watch Sarah's livestream...after the fact? How did you know about it? Thanks.

She ended up in Split, Croatia and was asked to show her passport and her vax card but not the results of the PCR test.

Darcy....yes, you can see the livestream on her FB page plus the 2nd one she did from the vineyard in Split.

So yes to it being in the EU, no to it being in the Schengen Zone.

Thanks Pam for sharing. I have taken the non-stop flight many times to Schiphol. Hard to envision the whole scenario- empty flight, not having to show passport, etc. That said, nice that she is sharing her experiences in real time. What a gal. Živjeli. “Let’s Live!”

I once went through Schiphol without showing my passport--it was probably 20 years ago, but I had mistakenly gone up some stairs and down the terminal a ways. When I went back down I had apparently bypassed the passport area. So it can happen.

On the flip side, a friend, recovered from Covid, went from Germany to another Schengen EU country via Schiphol and was denied boarding for her return because she didn't have the right type of test.
