Must CDC Vaccine Card Match Passport Name

When I signed up for my vaccine appointment back in January, I used the 'short' version of my name, not my legal name. It didn't occur to me at the time that this might become a problem. So my CDC card has my short name and my passport has my legal name. I will try and get this straightened out with the public health people. For those of you who have traveled to Europe, have you encountered any problems with this? "Pam" for "Pamela", "Kate" for "Katherine", etc. Do the names have to match exactly?

Secondly, does anyone else feel worried about the ever changing requirements? It's just so much rigamarole, with this kind of test or that kind of test, so many hours before crossing a border, etc.

I'd like to do the Holland and Belgium tour, but the requirements seem to be that crossing the border into The Netherlands will require another test.

My CDC card has last name followed by initial for first name for my first of three shots. I assume it is OK. Please report back.

My husband's cdc card did not include his middle name. We were in Switzerland this past Sept. There was no problem, as the negative test results seemed most important to anyone who checked.
Of course, practices in other countries may vary.

If there is an issue with your CDC card, go to your local pharmacy and get a new one filled out correctly. Why I say this might be possible? I forgot my card when I got my Booster shot, so they put the booster info on the 3rd line of a new card and told me to go home and copy the info on the first card onto the second card myself.

Following this topic - I recently got married and all 3 of my vaccinations are in my previous name. I'm hoping I can straighten it all out before we travel abroad again...hopefully in the spring!
