Letter of Recovery vs letter that states cleared for travel

My doctor wrote a letter that stated cleared for travel, even put the date we were leaving. My husband's doctor gave a letter that states he is recovered but will not write cleared for travel (we fly 7/2). Stated that Providence (the healthcare system) guidelines may change in a month and a half, doesn't seem to care about CDC guidelines to return to US.

CDC clearly states cleared for travel.

Do I move forward with recovered letter and positive test results? Would you??

Hi,
We flew home from Dublin last week.
We flew Aer Lingus. Our positive Covid test document and letter of recovery from quickMD were accepted.

PS: I must add that the recovery letter did state we were cleared for travel.

Could your husband make an appointment to visit his doctor closer to the July 2 flight date and get a "cleared for travel" letter then?

In today 's world, A LOT can happen in a month.

We have asked doctor when she will clear him for travel, how many days before the trip, she has not replied yet. We are now pondering taking a PCR test 14 days before we leave and if he is positive then we can schedule a recovery appointment right before the fly date. He would be "recovered" again and hopefully get a cleared for travel. And if she says he can't travel, I hope the travel insurance will kick in, she sure would have to have a reason that will be covered. ( We do have covid coverage) We obviously are proceeding.
