I just found out that people are not supposed to stay in Airbnb apartments to quarantine. Does anyone know why not?
My husband and I have been as sick as dogs with flu in Italian Airbnb apartments three times previous to COVID --- you'd think an on-purpose COVID quarantine stay would be as OK with Airbnb if we were willing to pay for an extra three days to clear the air afterwards and to take care of our own cleaning and laundry and to order our food delivered.
We almost never stay in hotels for all sorts of reasons (like, needing two separate bedrooms and a washing machine and a kitchen are a few of the reasons) and are dreading possibly staying in a COVID hotel and eating hotel food if one or both of us of us tests positive.
I guess my real question is, are there other apartment rental companies in Italy who will accept guests who need to quarantine? I'm only familiar with Airbnb and Booking,com. We are vaxxed, boosted, and very very careful, and were not real concerned about a possible quarantine in Italy until I read Airbnb's policy.
