How to get a covid test in Amsterdam

We are returning to the US from Amsterdam, changing planes in Iceland.

How is the best way to get the required covid test in Amsterdam for our return flight?

Is the requirement of 1 day, calendar day or 24 hours? We will be in Amsterdam for only 2 days.
Thanks

The requirement is one calendar day.

2 choices. At a clinic/pharmacy or bring a proctored home test with you and do over the internet.

You can ask your hotel about a nearby location or put “Covid test Amsterdam” into a search engine.

Our hotel was able to book at one of many test centers. Be prepared to pay 40 euros. We just added it to our hotel bill. They gave us a voucher which proved we had paid to give to the tech.

We used the Test2fly site at Schipol airport as we were staying nearby with a morning flight back to the US. It was expensive at €58 per person but it is very convenient. They take walk ins but it’s better to schedule appointments on line. The Sheraton hotel at the airport also has a testing clinic that costs less but it has shorter hours.
You need to have the test done on the day before you leave. So if your flight out is on a Tuesday, you have a test done anytime on Monday.

I booked mine a week and a half ago thru the website my hotel gave me.

https://www.coronasnelcheck.nl/

It was 29.99E.

A fellow tour member was able to book an appointment at a location near our hotel but I could not get that location to come up on my phone so I just went down to the location near Dam Square on Molsteeg 8. This was a store front with one person doing the testing and results. She was not busy and took me in an hour before my appointment time (I allowed way too much time to get there, lol). I got the results in an hour via email and then did a screen shot and was able to load into the DeltaFly app. I also had to show the screen shot to the Checkin person at Schiphol.

This was very easy.
