FYI: Who still has covid restrictions and who does not

I thought this article might be helpful for those trying to figure out the current covid restrictions.

https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/travel-list-of-eu-countries-keeping-in-place-covid-restrictions-in-june-entry-rules-explained/

I recommend always double checking any info. on the official gov. websites. You can often find those by googling “switzerland covid entry requirements” for example.

Carrie, I followed this link, and read the information on France. I don’t see a current explanation of what restrictions there are OR are not, if you test positive while in France?

Hi Carla, the scope of that article was just any entry requirements.

I did find this for you on the France embassy page:

French authorities require people who test positive for COVID-19 to
self-isolate for 7 days (if fully vaccinated) or 10 days (if partially
vaccinated or unvaccinated), and alert those with whom you have been
in contact.

https://fr.usembassy.gov/france-covid-19-faqs/#:~:text=If%20you%20have%20recently%20tested,deaf%20or%20hard%20of%20hearing.

If I’m remembering correctly, you are trying to decide if you want to end your trip in France or Switzerland. Because Switzerland does not require isolation after a positive test, that might be a better option for you. I’m not advocating either one. I think it’s important to have the information, so each traveler knows what is expected in the event of a positive test.

Carrie, thank you for the additional information. I will share this with other My Way Alpine Europe tour members who are also searching for information.
