France to Italy via ChooChoo Train

I want to confirm I have my information correct. I will be traveling into Italy from France after 14 nights in France via train. All I need is my proof of vaccination (CDC Card) and a filled out PLF. Am I right?

We entered Italy from Switzerland yesterday. There was a person checking COVID certificates as we approached the Italian border. He just looked at our QR codes, no scanning. Perhaps it takes too long to actually scan all the codes in a full-ish train. The dPLF was never requested although the border police did go through our car profiling, as they always do. Some people get questioned, others (like us) don;t even get eye contact.

Frank, I have looked through all the info several times. My sense is that you should be okay with just your proof of vaccination and PLF, but I am not 100% sure.

Two things that make me wary:
1) the fourteen days in France -- are they exactly 14 days? one or two more? (I just worry about how they count your arrival day, whether you have enough cushion etc)
2) whether your CDC card is "good enough" as proof of vaccination. I think it is, and a couple of the things I was checking led me to believe that it will be.
a) if you are able to obtain your French health pass (I know you've put in for it), this concern will disappear.

To be honest, I think you are going to be fine. But I can't be sure 100%.
