We used a voucher from our canceled flight in 03/20. After adding the difference, it was around $1700. Purchased seats included in that price. We paid for economyXtra, enjoyed the extra legroom and increase seat recline.
TAP air was okay. We traveled with 40l backpack. It was never weighted or sized checked. On a couple of flights, gate information is provided around 1 hrs before boarding. We just check monitors when it got close to an hour.
Everything was completed on my phone. I filled out dPLF 24 hrs in advance. Online check-in process was easy. Got boarding pass via email. Once at MIA we went straight to TSA, then on to gate. Before boarding, covid test and dPLF was checked.
Dinner service was good and a snack towards the end of the flight. Layover around 6.5hrs. We explored the airport visiting shops, eating, taking pictures.
First day in Venice, we searched for a pharmacy for covid test. 22€ per person, results on-site in 10 minutes, email in 30 minutes.

For us, 6 days was not enough time in Venice. We went at a slow pace and enjoyed every minute. Definitely returning, hopefully soon.
One of the highlights was going to this concert.

Return flight was same as departure. Online check-in, boarding pass emailed, go to security checkpoint, then gate. Test will be checked before boarding plane..
This time our layover was 14 hours in Lisbon, so we booked a night at the Star hotel. Super close to airport, just across the street.
Before boarding back to MIA, we had to fill a covid document, that needed to be completed before getting to the gate. Boarding pass, covid test, document checked, then around 45 minute wait before boarding plane.
If the price is right, I would use TAP again. We had no issues.
