Domestic Italian Flight: CDC card or testing needed?

My husband and I are traveling to Italy next week. We arrive in Milan and stay a week and then fly RyanAir from Milan to Palermo. Since we will have already arrived in Italy, is there anything special we need to fly from Milan to Palermo and/or specifically flying to Sicily since I have heard it is now in the yellow zone.

Thank you.

I responded on your other thread, but yes, you will need the CDC card as your "Green Pass", a requirement for all domestic flights since Sep. 1. I did also see that you may be required to have a test on arrival in Palermo, but have not been able to track down details.

Paul - do you remember where you saw that a test might be required in Sicily. I did see that it went to yellow. Just hope it doesn't go to orange while we are there.

Yes, I have been digging around looking for that. I believe it was one of the changes they made to entry requirements on Aug. 28.

The "Official" website: https://www.salute.gov.it/portale/nuovocoronavirus/dettaglioContenutiNuovoCoronavirus.jsp?lingua=english&id=5412&area=nuovoCoronavirus&menu=vuoto

Has yet to be updated, but the IATA Travel Centre: https://www.iatatravelcentre.com/ has been updated, and if you go to the covid requirements map, click on Italy, Article 11 indicates that if in the last 14 days you were in, or transited any of several EU countries, a test on arrival will be performed. You may be fine if you flew to Italy direct from the US, however I transit in the Netherlands, one of the countries listed.

I will try to update Wednesday after I (hopefully) get there.

I will be flying RyanAir from Genoa to Rome on 9/8. So far my emails from them don’t indicate any testing requirements, just proof of vaccine. I’ll let you know if that changes

Flew Ryanair today, CDC card checked at check-in, again before security, and again at boarding. Nothing in Palermo.
