We will be leaving Rome to return to the US on July 5th, 2022. We have a free day in Rome on July 4th and need to know where we can get a Covid test to return to California. We are looking everyday to see if the restrictions for Covid testing would be lifted to return to the US. If not should we do a Covid self test or would it be easy to go the pharmacy in Rome?

When I had to do it before flying home on 5/1 I simply googled Covid testing near me and made an appointment at the most convenient location. I was in the Netherlands in a small city. I imagine there are many locations in Rome. Any self test has to be proctored.

A self proctored test will work If you have a good internet wifi at your hotel. If not then you will end up going to a pharmacy anyway.

About 20 euros, usually no appointment needed
Very easy
Ask your hotel or find just by looking around
