Wondering if it's easier to get a covid test at a pharmacy in Paris on a Sunday (and Election Day April 10) or do a proctored test from home before our flight on Monday morning. Also, if our flight is at 10am Monday do we test after 10am on Sunday for the 24 hour window? Thanks!
It is not a 24-hour window. You can test at any time on the day prior to your flight.
Sunday tests will be trickier to find, so if you have a proctored option, that might well be the way to go. Be sure to download the relevant app while you are still in the States.
I am in the same boat! We are flying home to the US on Monday, April 18th at 9am. Trying to figure out where & how we can get covid tests on Sunday, April 17th (Easter Sunday!)
Is it worthwhile to buy a self test kit in US and use it prior to the flight home?
I am planning to return from Zurich in June and has the same issue.
Your test must be a MONITORED/PROCTORED test
Can’t just use any old self test
Do a search for Abbott Binax
Coming home from Ecuador, we used the BinaxNOW test kits. Our guide had them for us. We took the tests in our hotel room. They are proctored and you get your results via an email plus the app.
