Hey I’m going to be in Istanbul in August and am wondering if I’ll need a COVID test before returning to the states. If I do need one where can I get it and what is the cost?
Yes, since late January, the U.S. has required a negative PCR or antigen test taken within the three days prior to boarding your US-bound flight. Of course it’s possible that that rule may change by August, but that is the rule now.
You can get it at the Istanbul airport. The recommend you arrive 3 hours prior to flight time. Funny, our own government doesnt accept our own CDC card....
So what is the USA requirement? Negative test only?
For the moment, yes.
Fingers crossed this requirement changes by August! I will be flying home from Venice late August.
I noticed that United's website connects to the Abbott test kit for return to the US.
Delta's website not long ago mentioned special reentry requirements for US citizens returning. I can't find it now. Would it be different from requirements for all other returnees?

It is the same requirement for all returning US citizens & residents no matter which airline.
