CDC Card in Estonia?

Hey everyone! I'm planning a month-long trip to Tallinn, Estonia, for Feb. 2022 and I'm nervous that my hand-written American CDC card won't be enough to get me into the country.

I've looked all over the internet and can't seem to find a straight answer.

Has anyone had a personal experience traveling to Estonia with just a CDC card? Or do I need to somehow get a QR code or go to a different country entirely until things get a bit saner?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks @TravelLady! That’s a great resource, but it’s one of the sites that doesn’t seem to offer a straight answer for my question.

It mentions that vaccinated U.S. travelers can enter without restrictions, but it doesn’t explicitly say what type of proof of vaccination will be accepted.

The page also mentions the CDC, but it doesn’t say if a paper CDC card will be sufficient, or if my CDC-issued vaccination will need to be verified by some kind of digital/QR code proof, like many European countries require. (The U.S. has no equivalent to Europe’s digital vaccine passports, as far as I’m aware.)

Has anyone physically entered Estonia (since Europe restrictions got tighter in July) with nothing but a paper CDC card?

Thanks!

Taken from website:

Anyone who has been vaccinated abroad can prove they have been vaccinated by presenting a vaccine passport, a copy of the passport, or an officially verified excerpt from a database in a foreign country. The document must be in the Latin or Cyrillic alphabet and in Estonian, Russian, or English and must contain the following information:
The disease against which the individual was vaccinated
The date of immunization
The brand name of the vaccine
The number of doses administered
Information on the certificate issuer (i.e. the CDC)
If that doesn't mean the Card I don't what??

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought too. That would make sense. But this wording is enough to give me a sliver of doubt:

Anyone who has been vaccinated abroad can prove they have been vaccinated by presenting a vaccine passport, a copy of the passport, or an officially verified excerpt from a database in a foreign country.

Is a paper CDC card any of these things? I assumed so for months, but now I'm unsure because of what I've read elsewhere. Like this Forbes article that lists European countries and their restrictions, and specifically says that Latvia accepts the cards but doesn't mention the cards when it talks about Estonia: https://www.forbes.com/sites/alexledsom/2021/12/07/eu-travel-ban-which-countries-open-to-americans-vaccinated-or-not-country-by-country-for-december/?sh=13dbd6d822ce

I just want to know if anyone has actually tried it before I buy a plane ticket.

Check with the airline you will be buying tickets with. I usually fly American the requirements are posted. We were in Germany last July and August and had no problems but that was 5 months ago.
