I had purchased 3 BinaxNOW proctored Covid tests in October 2021, and had been told they would be valid for 6 months, meaning an April expiration. Well, they were not good, as I had been sold dated tests with a limited shelf-life, that expired 3 days before I tested, 5 months after purchase. There was no grace period given by Navica. Fortunately, we were staying at the Radisson Blu at Zurich airport, which offered free 15 minute-result antigen tests good for travel. The employees at the site could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The hotel was connected to the airport, so very quick access for our morning flight. The Radisson Blu was double in price of their other Radisson airport location, but for us, worth it.

I'm glad that everything worked out for you. That must have been a stressful moment.
Thanks for the reminders to check the expiration date on the package to make sure it will work with the date you need to test. I have heard of people exchanging their tests for free if the expiration date was too short for them to use. I just double checked mine and they all have an expiration date of November so I should be set for May and September.

Happy travels, Carol. My fingers are crossed that required testing for Americans to re-enter the US will soon be terminated.
