The new revenge flick staring Denzel Washington and Dakota Fanning, The Equalizer 3, set in Sicily, has a funny brief appearance by our favorite blue and yellow guidebook --
Dakota's character asks Denzel's how he knew she was a spy and not a tourist, and he says
"We're in Sicily and you're holding a guidebook for Rome."
She shows the prop she's holding, and it is the Rick Steves' Guide for Rome.
Some time later there's a callback when they meet at a church in the fictional town of Altamonte,
and this time Dakota shows that she's learning because now she's holding the RS Italy book instead.
The film was actually shot in Atrani and Minori, and it is terrible,
but if you get to stream it for free at some point, the establishing shots of the coastline and roofs of the town are very pretty.
And there's a good amount of southern Italian slang and dialect to delight your ear as well.
