Overbooked by Elizabeth Becker

I recently read Overbooked: The Exploding Business of Travel and Tourism by Elizabeth Becker. Although the book was published several years ago pre-Covid, it’s still relevant and applicable to today. The book examines different types of tourism (e.g. cruises, safaris) and what different countries are doing to manage tourism. It also examines issues caused by tourism such as overtourism and environmental damage. Overall, it’s a good book and I would rate it 4 out of 5.

There is an old post on it in this forum: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/books-movies/book-recommendation-overbooked-by-elizabeth-becker
