I am behind in my RS Podcasts and recently listened to Program 462, which includes an interview with journalist Elizabeth Becker, author of "[Overbooked][2]
". I bought the audiobook at Audible.com and find it an eyeopener. Becker reveals the business side of tourism -- who it helps and who it hurts. This is important as the number of travelers grows each year. I think this book will help me to make better decisions about where to visit and where to stay. It pays to be an educated consumer. It is very easy to be sold a travel experience. This is not limited to cruises but also luxury hotels and destinations that consumers sometimes just want to visit because they have read about in an article written by someone who got a free trip. I think for anyone who wants to travel a significant amount this book is a good investment of time and money. I am glad RS brought the book to my attention.
Thanks. I've put in an order for that.
I just requested it from our local library. Thanks!
