Hi there, I have watched video of The Best of Slovenia here on Rick Steve. I was thinking to visit their with my Family. Do you have any place to recommend apart from the spots featured on their video? Thanks.

Slovenia would be a great place to visit with a family. It makes sense to start in Ljubljana and from there visit Lake Bled. There is great hiking in the area. I enjoyed the Vintgar Gorge. Also, the Soca valley and the Julian Alps and Skocjan caves. Its best to have a car to explore Slovenia. its really a land of mountains, lakes, caves and scenery. For lots of more information and places to visit I would recommend Rick Steves' Croatia/Slovenia book.
