Has anyone tried using the T Mobile Simple Choice plan in Turkey? I am thinking about trying it since they advertise unlimited data and texting when out if the US. Turkey is included in their coverage but it looks like it is only 2G. I have an iPhone 4s that would be compatible with T Mobile.

I decided to get the T mobile plan for my trip and it was great. FYI - for 2 phones I ended up paying $150. More than I expected but worth it in the end.

Yes, you only are supposed to get 2G speeds with that plan (faster costs extra). However, an employee at my T-Mobile store said that when she went to Dubai, and when a coworker went to a European country (I don't remember which one), both of them were surprised and happy to find that they got 3G speeds, and didn't have any extra charge for this when they got home.

Harold, thank you. I have already taken my trip now and I also got 3G speed. I probably had the best coverage of anyone traveling with my group so I liked the T mobile plan. Sometimes hotel wifi isn't that great so I am glad I had back up. It was more money than I expected but in my case it was worth it.
