Wings Hotel - can't confirm my reservation. Any suggestions?

Hi there,
I'm having trouble trying to reach the Wings Hotel to confirm my reservation. I've emailed 4-5 times and gotten no response so I tried calling their number this morning and got a message saying something like the number is restricted even though I called 011, then the country code, which is 90, and then their phone number.

Not sure if any of you have stayed at the Wings Hotel and run into the same problem or have run into similar problems trying to confirm hotel reservations in Turkey. If you have any suggestions as to what to do I'd love to hear them.

Yes the Wings hotel in Istanbul and yes I have emailed them multiple times

You might try calling again next week ( 90 (212) 292-8080 is the number on The Wing Hotel's website which still appears to be active). The Wing Hotel also is still listed by Booking.com
If you are not able to communicate with them next week, I would consider reserving at another property. Turkey is now experiencing deep financial and political problems and maybe that is a factor.

If you are using a cell phone you might try using the + sign instead of the 011 to get an international line out. My cell phone does this automatically for me but you can do it yourself (usually by holding the 0 key down until + appears). https://www.ricksteves.com/travel-tips/phones-tech/call-uk-europe

Also, did you book with the hotel directly or via a third party like Booking? If the latter, try messaging them through their app or web interface, many properties are more responsive that way.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I booked directly with the hotel and when I have tried calling I used my landline as I have an international calling plan tied to that. CL, don’t you pay much higher fees when you call internationally via your cell phone?

pjmun I rarely make international calls on my cell phone so I don't have much info on cost, you could check with your specific cell phone plan for information. I can't imagine it will break the bank to make one call to confirm a reservation, but if cost is an issue, you could always try calling them using Whatsapp or contact them through their Instagram page https://www.instagram.com/thewingshotel/

I haven't stayed yet, but I have a reservation for October.

I have emailed numerous times with questions and I always get an answer within a few hours, so that is very odd indeed.

All my emails have gone to [email protected]. Is that the address you have been using?
