I often use the the kindle version of RS books but can never expand the maps enough to read them. Does anyone know if they can be accessed online? I'll have a phone with cell service.

I just opened my Kindle Best of Istanbul book. I was able to expand the maps in various walks (including the Kadıköy Neighborhood Walk) by using two fingers to lightly press on the map image while spreading your fingers to expand the map to full page size. From there you can continue to use two fingers to zoom in and out of the map.
You can't just tap on the map with one finger to open it for enlargement.
