Visiting Coppadocia

In early Oct.I have 7days in Antalya. I have 3 open days before I go to Izmir. How do I get to Coppadocia without wasting lots of time.? Should I pass and spend it around Antalya before traveling to Izim. Turkey is just too big to see it all but I doubt I will be back. I am traveling alone and would get a tour . thank you

You can fly, drive or take a bus. The shortest is 5 1/2 hours and the longest is 10 hours from Antalya.

Antalya weather in October can easily trick you. We have seen rain and sunshine taking turns every day. Getting from Antalya to Cappadocia can be done with a car too, but it's faster and easier to fly.

When in Cappadocia, if you are staying in a hotel, check the prices they offer for the tours, as they might be little less expensive then buying your tours from tour agencies.

We had a blast, hope you will too!

Seven days is much too long for Antalya. You should definitely go to Cappadocia -- one of the most amazing sights you will ever see.

Hello from Wisconsin,

Recently I have heard in a conversation that the US State Department has put out a recommendation about traveling eastward in Turkey. I know my wife would check with their travel recommendations/cautions before booking.

Coppadocia is fantastic. WE took a 13 day guided tour through the western 2/3rd is Turkey and each day was jaw dropping.

Even though Istanbul is a long way from Antalya, I would go there. Seven days in Antalya is too much. Istanbul will knock your socks off. There is a pension named Side that is near both the Blue Mosque and the Aya Sophia. Good price.
