Turkish Airlines Stop over program hotels

Turkish Airlines has a layover program for stopping in Istanbul where they will provide free accommodations for a couple night stay if enroute to other destinations We are traveling from the US to Athens so this sounds like a good means to stop in Istanbul for a couple days. Does anyone have experience with this? How good are the hotels and where are they located in Istanbul?

I did this last year. They gave a choice of three hotels. The best option based on location was the Radisson Blu Istanbul Pera. Very nice hotel, nice location but not in the Sultanahmet area. I walked because I like walking. About 1/2 hour to the Blue Mosque. But you could certainly take transit. More convenient location relative to Galata Tower or Istiklal Avenue.
