We are at the airport checking in 3 hours before our flight begins loading. The checkin staff arrives at 9 for our 12:55 flight. Trying to checkin with our IPad yesterday did not work because the passport needed more light to load. There is no problem doing it at the airport! We also needed to add our TSA Pre so we did all this in 5 minutes. Turkish Airlines uses Air India’s Lounge which is just to the left after going through security. It takes about 6 minutes to walk to our gate which was the farthest away from the Lounge.

Just a quick note about TSA Pre. We had our medicines in cleared bags, IPad and phones ready to put out and liquids all bagged. They did not look at any of this or want us to lay in out. There are lots of scary UTube videos about traveling seniors and we experienced none of this. Be prepared not nervous.
