I’ve done it on Lufthansa & it was so easy to upgrade. So just looking to see if anyone has any comments.

I don't think I've seen meaningful reductions on airfares in... over a decade? Airlines have the data to know what their product will sell for (while still tiering the structure a bit). The occasional 'fare sale' is more a marketing vehicle, rather than a tool to move excess inventory.
I'd say that six months out is not too soon. Too late is whenever the cheaper fare buckets have sold out, which is anyone's guess.
I don't have insight on upgrading with Turkish.
🙏🏻Thank you Scudder. That’s what’s I was thinking, I just needed someone wise to affirm that feeling for me. I was gonna do the 6 month mark…but with the war I was hesitant to click too fast. Now the Uncomfortable mark is approaching so I need to act quick. But I would still love to hear if anyone has upgraded from economy to business class on a Turkish Air.
