Turkey travel in October 2026??

What exactly concerns you? If it's the US-Iran conflict, that's the Gulf, so ot hasn't impacted Türkiye (and the bits of the country you're planning to visit are nowhere near close). Been there several times including earlier this year when the conflict was happening, and enjoyed it immensely.

It’s the recent disagreements between Israel and Turkey involving Turkey putting troops in Syria. Still, a distance from where I’m going. It’s Cappadocia’s location closer to the border than concerns me more.

I personally would go today, but that is just me. No one here can tell you if it is "safe" because that's something you have to decide for yourself based on your comfort level and personal risk tolerance. Have a look at the page linked above, it covers a lot of topics that relate to safety.

From what I could read from various articles, it was a one-time thing with diplomats now discussing the issue.

I also did a bit of road map distance calculations, using "Atlanta" as a base for Georgia.

The road distance of the base in Syria to Konya, which appears to be the nearest Turkish city on the RS excursion to what was struck, is the same as a road trip from Atlanta to Richmond, Virginia.

And as RS groups head back west, we're talking Atlanta to New York City and more.

In conclusion, far away and nothing for everyday travellers to worry about.

***was not sure if you are part of a RS tour or not, so apologies if you will be closer than Konya for instance.
