We had perfect weather in Turkey in mid September into early October on our own independent trip.

I took the tour in mid-October and the weather was perfect. However keep in mind that you will be covering such a large amount of the country that fall temps can range from the 40's to 80's (warmer on the southeastern coast and it was hot in Ephesus in late Oct).

I was in Turkey in May of 2007 and the weather was absolutely perfect. But I think the same could be said of September as well.

I did the tour in mid-September 2019. There were some cool mornings, but my sweater never stayed on too long. The worst heat was limited when we were directly in the sun at some of the Roman ruin sites. It seemed to me like a pretty ideal ballance.
