Antalya

We’re staying here for 3 nights in late September.
Accommodation? I understand that staying in the old town of Kaleici is desirable. However, we have a car and the district, being vehicle-free could be a problem. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Any tips in general?

I have been to Antalya multiple times, and I strongly prefer Kaleici to the resort areas. I didn't try to drive a car in Kaleici, though. I did see a few cars in Kaleici, but they are heavily restricted. I would inquire with the individual hotels about parking arrangements.

When I was there last April, I relied on buses, taxis, and streetcars for day trips. At the end of my stay, I rented a car for a multi-day excursion to Aphrodisias, Pamukkale and Sagalassos.

As far as hotels, I stayed at Eski Masal in Kaleici, which I liked a lot. I also rented and AirBnB on another trip. Tuvana and Puding Marina are also supposed to be good hotels.

Let me know if you have any other questions about Antalya. I have spent five weeks there over the last couple of years.

I think you'll like Tuvana. I walked by it many times, and it's quite lovely.
