Any suggestions for a reasonably priced and reliable transportation from the New Istanbul Airport to the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul? I believe that most international flights are now coming into the new airport rather than the older Ataturk airport.
The new Istanbul Airport has had flooding problems. Therefore, it is scheduled to open in March, but that could get pushed to later. They are building an express metro to the new airport, but it most likely will not be open in March. Idk about other public transportation.
Good question! Is the New Airport much farther away? I have our hotel quoting a rate of 60 Euro for one way pick up. The Ataturk Airport is only 25 Euro... What over double? We are traveling in May. I wonder if Uber would be less expensive...

Ataturk is 19 km away, Istanbul Airport is 43km away.
It looks like the have buses/ shuttles running at least to Taksim, which is the transport hub but located in the New City (not Sultanahmet). I would be surprised if you couldn't find a cheap public transit option if budget is an issue.
I took a tram from the old airport in the past and that was a great (and cheap) option, but could get crowded. Istanbul has very nice modern buses; I would not hesitate to take a bus/shuttle form the new airport.
