I’m starting to plan a trip for October 2026. We will spend a few days in Istanbul. Then we’d like to spend about 3 nights in a town within an hour’s drive of Ephesus with good snorkeling. Anybody have any recommendations?

Stay at Kusadasi. It is just 30 mins. away from Ephesus.

Traveler-Hakan, thank you for the link. It has a nice map showing where some reefs are, and it gives me an idea of what areas we should start looking at. My husband would love to become scuba certified, so maybe he will do it before our trip. I’m too scared, so I stay at the surface, or on the beach!
