Tour Guide for Ephesus

I understand the need for using a certified tour guide, not just anyone you meet near the entrance to Ephesus. However, there must be close to 100 certified tour guides. Does Rick Steves recommend one or two certified guides over the others?

Did you find a tour guide yet? If you still need a guide, LMK. I was in Ephesus a couple of months ago and our guide was excellent. I can find out his name.

My trip was arranged by a licensed tour guide in Istanbul. If you contact him, he can make the arrangements for day tours in Ephesus and other historical areas near there. He did an amazing job setting up a full week of day tours for me and two friends a couple of months ago. We did some group tours and private tours, One guide was very knowledgeable but his English wasn’t easy to understand. Another guide spoke better English, but his knowledge was not as deep. There was one guide who took us to Pamukkale and he was the best. His English was excellent as was his knowledge of history and architecture. I don’t have his name, but the tour guide in Istanbul who set it up can help you. His name is Metin.. Email: metinkoca@gmail.com
WhatsApp: +90 (533) 322 00 85

I have been all over the Ephesus area, loved it all.

Donna,

Which tour did you book with Magical steps? We have teens and they are very into history, but I am aware of their patience under the sun.

Thanks,

Jenny

I don’t know his name. If you contact the person I mentioned above, he can get you the same tour guide. The person I booked through is very honest, no need to worry about getting ripped off. Metin planned a wonderful one week itinerary for me and a friend just a couple of months ago. Lots of different historical sights in different cities in the Ephesus area. Many pick ups and drop offs, transfers, etc. Everything went like clockwork. Giving you the name of the person who arranged our tours is the best I can do.
