Do Yellow taxis from IST airport into the city take American credit cards?

The taxi drivers that I dealt with last month including three times from/to the airport preferred cash. It’s not to say that they will not accept credit cards but they asked for cash. The hoteliers also advised that the taxi drivers wanted cash only. It was not an issue because we had cash.

Dollars was not presented as an option. Euros were quoted by the hotel for their pickup and drop off arrangements. I paid the taxi 750 TL from the airport to Karakoy (Galata Tower area). Initial quotes were 800 - 900 TL. These were non metered quotes.
