Suggestions for trip along the coast from Bodrum to Antalya

We are planning a 3 week trip to Turkiye with approx 1 week in Istanbul split before and after road trip along the Aegean Coast. Initial plan is to rent a car in Bodrum and include a couple of stops before spending a week in Antalya. Any suggestions for itinerary-favorite stops? Any problems with this drive (2 60+ women)?
Thanks!

Oooh!!!! Can I go too? There is a lot to do along the coast.

1) I would stop first in Dalyan. Take a boat trip down the Dalyan River to see the Lycean tombs and the turtle nesting grounds, explore Xanthos, and maybe try the mud baths.

2) From there I would go to Patara or Kas and spend a couple of days if you can spare the time. There are lots of beaches and ancient sites around.

3) Between Patara/Kas and Antalya, I would make stops at Demre and Phaeselis. Demre has the ancient city of Myra with more rock cut tombs just outside of town as well as the Church of St. Nicholas in the city --- an hour or so at each location is plenty. Phaeselis has the ruins of a small town nestled between two bays. It's gorgeous. If you got an early start from Patara/Kas, you could probably stop at both and make it to Antalya by nightfall. The drive from Kas to Antalya is stunning, and it reminds me a lot of the Pacific Coast Highway. The road is safe and well maintained, but it is curvy and cliff-hugging in parts.

By the way, I love Antalya and can offer some recommendations there, too, if you are interested.

Thanks much for the quick reply and your suggestions - sounds like an amazing itinerary. This will be our third trip to Turkiye and really looking forward to exploring this area. I've compiled a list of things to do in Antlaya but always open to suggestions. Thanks again!

I can recommend two good hotels on this route: Kilim hotel in Dalyan, and Akay Pension in Patara. Loved both of these places.
