Street art/artists in Istanbul

While visiting Paris recently, I purchased some great street art, one painting and one graphite on paper, from the bouquiniste. I waited 15 minutes so the artist could finish the graphite drawing before finally purchasing. Does Istanbul offer any areas where street art is plentiful and well-made? I'd like to purchase a piece if the price is right. Thank you all for the input!

I've not paid much attention to street artists, but I think you would find them in touristy areas, like the public squares near the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. Of course, you'll find a huge selection of arts and crafts if you venture into the covered markets. for instance, copies of old miniature art painted on old paper can be very attractive.
