Sirince

Has anyone been to Sirince? I'm seeing conflicting posts - "influencer" type blogs proclaiming its beauty and some very nice B&B type hotels and then more traditional travel sites like TA saying it is a huge tourist trap with aggressive vendors, and the same tacky stuff for sale up the entire mountain.

We will have two days after our Best of Turkey trip and thinking about driving there from Kusadaci for the night before heading to IST for our flight home.

The alternative is going back to IST but as we will likely be there for a few days before the tour starts I'm not too keen on that.

Sirince village is pretty for tourists..You are right at some points that you said.. it has became tourist trap.

Instead of Sirince think on going to Kirazli village.. More traditional... Do not have your breakfast at the hotel .. go one of breakfast restorants there.. then take a walk to find a traditional Turkish Coffee house then sip your Turkish coffee there. Then drive to Magnesia ancient city ,about 30-45 minutes drive.
Then drive to direction Kusadasi... On the way to Kusadasi there is a place called Yaylaköy where you can find local restorants.. Have a lunch there.

I thought it was pretty and charming/ photogenic, but that was in 2011 and I don't recall any aggressive vendors then.

We went there as a day trip from Selçuk. While it is pretty and there are vendors that call out to you in every language, I don't recall any being aggressive. We went and walked up the steps of the town and bought some jewelry in a market.

I wasn't wowed with the town and glad we didn't stay overnight but I am glad we saw it. Honestly, I preferred Selçuk over Sirince.
