Has anyone been to the church of St Nicholaus in Demre Turkey? Has the Rick Steves tour included it on the itinerary? Do you recommend it?

Yes, I have been there. The church is beautifully restored and has some excellent Byzantine frescos. It is very popular with Russian tourists. It's a nice complement to the rock cut tombs of ancient Myra.
It's worth a stop if you are in the vicinity. I am very glad that I went, but I wouldn't plan my trip around it.
