Hello everyone! I had scheduled a tour guide 10-2 on Friday and Saturday May 10 and 11, but he had to cancel. It’s for my older aunt and uncle, who will be on their own and aren’t super used to traveling abroad. If anyone know a friendly, knowledgeable guide who could spend the day with them in sultanahmet and Beyoglu, let me know. Years ago I contacted a guide in Berlin that we found through Rick Steves and it was wonderful. I’d like to do that again. Thank you!

It may be too late to book, but I would recommend Metin Koca. He's very accommodating, knowlegeable, and his English is excellent. He's been recommended on this forum many times. I wound up sending my aunt and uncle on a walking tour (culinary backstreets, it was cool), but FYI the guide Metin quoted me 350€ for the day when I got in touch thanks to the advice above. Ufuk (pronounced Oo-fook) was the guide we wanted to work with but he wasn't available. Ufuk is an absolutely wonderful guide, we have done tours with him twice. He does groups of 4 for 250euro.
