We are two seasoned travelers in our 60s who are visiting Turkey & part of Greece for the first time. We have a month +/- available. We originally considered doing a package tour, something we normally don't do, largely because because we thought language and security might be potential issues. After looking at the tours offered and reading several forums, we've reconsidered and are looking to do our normal self-planned trip, mostly because we prefer to spend much more time in places than tours allow. Since you are all way more familiar with the countries and their many amazing sites, we'd appreciate feedback on this first-cut itinerary. We have pared it down considreably, removing Pamukkale, Antalya, Kalambaka, and Corfu (that one hurt). Are we allocating time properly? What would you add/subtract? We enjoy history, culture, mountains, the sea, and interacting with people. Driving is not an issue. Dates are tentative. TIA!
