The best part of going to Istanbul was entrusting our schedule and learnings to our fantastic guide, Mert Taner. We (myself, my wife and our daughters 18 & 20) spent three days with Mert in Istanbul in November 2018. While we have hired many guides over the years across the world, Mert was the best. He was very engaging, knowledgeable and accommodating with our requests. He took us places and made introductions that we couldn’t have done on our own. It amazed us how our young adult children loved the food as Mert provided us a real Istanbul cuisine experience. When he wasn’t with us he called restaurants to make sure they took good care of us and also helped us navigate the city and historical sites on our own. We look forward to planning our next trip to Turkey and will ensure Mert is our guide. FANTASTIC GUIDE!!!
