I have heard not to miss eating ice cream in Turkey!! Where do you suggest we have it? Is there an ice cream shop in the Cruise Port stores? We will be there Tuesday, October 28, 2025

For the curious, Turkish ice cream is made from goats milk, natural gum, and Sala (orchid pulp).
I’ve been to an ice cream shop in Istanbul, but not Kusadasi.

IMHO the ice cream is pretty good but maybe not worth going out of your way for. Anything close to the cruise port is unlikely to have the best (or cheapest) selection. It looks like there is a Mado right by the cruise port and they sell traditional Turkish ice cream, but it also has terrible reviews (poor service). The higher rated ice cream shops are a distance away from the port - if you're going to Ephesus as an excursion you may not have time to seek out those options. There is a bazaar near the cruise port where you can find other more traditional Turkish sweets like baklava and Turkish delight.
