We're arriving by cruise ship and not interested in heading to Ephesus as we've seen the main sights before. Hoping to do something totally different with a group of friends. Looking for suggestions of smaller towns (e.g. Sirince) to experience, especially if it were to have anything to do with food, wine, local specialties. The Pamukkale thermal pools are too far, as we'll only have about 7 hours. Any recommendations? Thanks.

You might want to contact Tours by locals Kusadasi and see if you can set up a custom tour with one of the their guides. They might have good suggestions on which small towns and/or wineries you could visit with one of their guides in the 7 hours that you have. The website says Kusadasi Ephesus tours but they have a 'design your own' tour option.

Agree with Nancy. We have used them off cruises in the British isles and Cuba. They meet you at the pier and return you in plenty of time to reboard the ship. We customized our tour. The price was no more expensive then the ship’s excursion.
