Refining our November trip to the Ephesus area and are trying to determine the best base for our 3-night trip. We're planning to rent a car and would appreciate any lodging and/or other recommendations you may have for the area. Have just read the RS Istanbul guidebook. It doesn't mention the train from the Izmir airport to Selçuk - so may consider taking the train and then renting the car - or if we can just taxi it from Selçuk we're open to that as well.

I suggest you to stay in Selcuk because it's a quite and nice town. You can rent a car in Selcuk and make your day trips to Sirince and Kusadasi.
There is actually nothing to do in Sirince at night and it's touristic expensive area. Kusadasi is also nice but it's difficult to drive and park in there.
