I am headed to Turkey in November and am flying into Izmir. I plan on spending a 2-3 days down there spending one of those days to see Ephesus. My question is what city would be better that time of year? Izmir or Kusadasi? Kusadasi looks a lot smaller and quant, but Izmir might have more to do that time of year (being a larger city).

Izmir is closer to Pergamon and also near enough to Ephesus.

Kusadasi is smaller but it's still a city. I don't remember any quaintness there.

I just wasn't sure if November would be outside cruise season with not as much going on. To me, it does look like more of a tourist city than Izmir.
