We have a full day in Izmir on our tour of Turkey and trying to decide whether to book a tour to Ephesus or spend the day in Izmir. Any reccomendation? This will be our first trip to Turkey.

Ephesus is amazing. We went there ourselves but a guided tour would be optimal.
So definitely Ephesus!

Ephesus, no question. It has remnants of one of the ancient seven wonders of the world. A tour would enhance the experience but you can do it on your own with a good guide book.
