In March 2025 I'm taking the Istanbul tour and wanted to know how far is the Izmir Airport is from the final location of the tour hotel and what would it cost for a taxi there?

I'm assuming you're taking the Best of Turkey tour, which ends in Kusadasi, about an hour drive from the Izmir airport.
In May 2022, we stayed an extra night and arranged a private car to take us from the final tour hotel in Kusadasi to the Izmir Airport. The cost was €60 for up to 4 people, which we paid to the hotel.
If you leave the morning that the tour ends, you can take the tour bus to Izmir airport at no cost.
If you're actually taking the Best of Istanbul tour, that starts and ends in Istanbul.

As CWSocial noted, if you're in Kusadasi it's about an hour to the Izmir airport. I arranged a Welcome Pickups shuttle for about 55 euro, which I split with two tourmates.

If I remember correctly, they time the RS tour bus to get to the Izmir Airport about 9am.

I just did this tour, and almost our entire group took the tour bus to the Izmir airport. I had a flight at 1045 and had no problem catching it as the bus got us there by 9am.
