Istanbul hotels

Any recommendations for hotels in the Old Town district of Istanbul for next September? A roof terrace/restaurant would be great.

We liked the "Hotel Historia-Special Category." (Often listed as "Historia Hotel - Special Class", note there may be other hotels in Istanbul with similar names, check the location).

It's just a couple minutes walk from some of the top historic sights in the old town, but is tucked away back just far enough on a quiet street to be away from all the noise, bustle and hubub. Our room was quite small (like Japanese-hotel-room small, so small you may have to carefully manage your bags to allow you to walk around the room), but it was adequate, and had a nice little outdoor terrace with a cool view out to the water. We had one of the (two, I think) "Deluxe Rooms" pictured on their website.

Friendly, helpful staff and a location that'll be hard to beat. If looking for a room in the old town, I'd stay there again.

FWIW their website looks broken and abandoned to me. I booked my room there through booking dot com and had no trouble.

I stayed at the Hotel Dara. Very close to the sites and walkable. But still off the main streets enough that it wasn’t too loud. When I went, there was breakfast included. There is a rooftop restaurant/views. The rooms are not luxurious by any means if that is what you’re looking for.
I would stay again.
