Istanbul during December

Istanbul can be chilly and rainy in December, so dress accordingly. If you don’t mind that kind of weather, you will love Istanbul! I liked visiting Istanbul in December. There were fewer tourists and no lines at the museums and historical sights. That was wonderful. If you would like to hire a tour guide for a day or a few days (or half days), I highly recommend a local tour guide I have used when visiting Istanbul. I have been to Istanbul several times, but when friends join me, I prefer to hire a guide so my friends can learn about the sights and history.
