Any tips? The latest plane leaves around noon. Has anyone traveled to another airport for a flight that does not take 23 to 54 hours to get to the west coast?

We have always ended in Istanbul and have flown from Izmir to Istanbul and then to SF. The first time we started in Istanbul and returned for only one night prior to our flight home. We were smarter the second time and ended in Istanbul spending our last 5 nights there. We have flown from Istanbul to Frankfurt or Munich and from there to SF. I don't think you can avoid a long flight.

Thanks, Carol. I was hoping not to go back to Istanbul. I have taken your route before a few years ago, only I end up in Seattle. BTW...I used to live in Martinez.
